A rational number is any number that can be expressed as a fraction of two integers (\(Z\)).
- Rational numbers can only be added or subtracted when they have a common denominator.

- To multiply two rational numbers, simply multiply the corresponding denominators and numerators together.
- When multiplying there is no need to have a common denominator.
